The courts can be configured to set up e-mail notifications to be sent to the submitter if the e-servicing to any of the case participants fails. The e-mail notification sent to the submitter can be viewed from the bundle's servicing history.

This will allow the filers to take action for serving the documents to the necessary case participants via alternate methods outside of TrueFiling.

21449 : Include Additional Payments for Services along with Document Submission

Filers will now be able to submit additional payments for services like Certified Mailing Fee when submitting documents to the court. This feature is available to the filers on the Bundle Assembly page along with the document uploads. This simplifies the process, ensuring that payments for additional services can be made in a single transaction along with the bundle submission thus saving time and effort for the court and filers.

Note: The services available for additional payments are configured by the courts. Certain services may or may not be available for new or existing case submissions.

Currently, fee waivers cannot be submitted along with additional payment for services. This feature will be available in the near future.

21426 : New Review Filing Request API call added to EFM-NG API

A new ReviewFilingRequest call was added to the EFM-NG API following the ECF 4.0 standards. This call will be used for bundle submission and will be able to identify the source of the submission like TrueFiling EFSP, and Filing Review MDE.

21334 : Signup screen freezing

A correction was made to address vertical scrolling on the signup screen freezing when a user's screen resolution was set to a value that did not allow the entire page to display.

20701 : Admin Only: All User Information page not updating results when search criteria is changed after initial search

A correction was made to allow clicking the search button or hitting enter re-renders the grid on the All User Information page allowing the user to land on the first page with the results displayed appropriately.

20370 : Bundle Publish failing with Dryloc.ContainerException.

A correction was made to address an issue with the Bundle Publish function app occasionally failing to consume messages from the service bus due to a 'Dryloc.ContainerException'. When this issue presented, the messages were getting dead-lettered.

A correction was made to prevent users that are no longer connected to the filer from displaying as an available selection in the filer drop down.

20785 : Polly Circuit Breaker due to expected 404 response

When the EFSP receives a 404 response from the EFM-NG API, it is automatically retrying. When 10 or more 404 responses are received in a row, the Polly Circuit Breaker policy pauses communication with the EFM-NG API for 60 seconds. A correction was made to update the communication between the EFSP and EFM to properly evaluate the execution of several queries ending with no results and support was added for expected results when an optional court property may not be configured to prevent the system from requesting the court property multiple times.

An update was made to the Burton payment processor integration to support additional charges that are triggered from a higher amount passed into the Accept filing call to ensure that these funds are also released when the filing reaches its pay status.

The participant activity audit log has been enhanced to record any updates made to the Case Contacts by the Court. This audit log can be viewed from the View Participant Activity model on the Case Details page.

20122 : Updates to Bundle Submission Modal Dialog

The successful submission modal dialog that appears upon bundle submission has been enhanced to enable courts to customize the messaging based on whether the case is new or existing. This will allow courts to provide specific messaging for users submitting new cases.

19461 : Payment accounts incorrectly associated to escrow account

An issue was corrected that was resulting in filer payment accounts with the nickname 'ESCROW' being incorrectly associated with an internal ImageSoft escrow account.

19072 : Download documents option

A new feature was added that will allow users to download filed and rejected stamped documents within the history page.
Note: this feature must be enabled at the site setting level for use and is not enabled by default.

Note: filed stamped documents are available for download within courts that have a filing review solution that sends the filed stamped copy back to TrueFiling.

19279 : Notification for Microsoft Word documents containing unsupported font

When a user uploads a Microsoft Word document, the document may contain a font that is not supported such as certain Mac fonts and/or some Serif typefaces. This results in a default font (Microsoft Sans Serif) being applied within the document when it is converted to PDF which could cause formatting issues. If the user uploads a Microsoft Word document that contains a font that is not supported, they will now receive a message on upload stating 'The document you uploaded contains unsupported font. We have converted the document using our default font. Please review your document before submission to avoid rejection by the court'. If the user uploads a PDF document, this issue is not applicable.

Note: at the time of this release, a full list of unsupported fonts is unknown. Future enhancements (2023) are planned to expand support for additional fonts.

12802 : Professional Credentials Disappearing on Settings Page

A correction was made so that removing a specific professional credential does not remove other professional credentials associated with that user on the Settings page. An example of this issue, prior to this correction, presented when a user had both attorney and court reporter credentials indicated and when removing the court reporter credentials/unchecking that option, the credentials related to the attorney role were also removed.

19078 : Duplicate user name/email address

An issue was corrected that was allowing users to sign up with an existing user name/email address. Users will now be prevented from registering with an existing user name/email address as that value is unique and cannot be duplicated.

19299 : Inactive courts displaying in add payment dialog

Within the add payment dialog, users are required to select a court that they will be filing to in order to associate the payment account to the proper payment processor. A correction was made to ensure that inactive courts do not display in this dialog for selection.

18484 : Fix to the Get Case List request for Register of Actions

A fix was made to the Register of Action API call in EFM-NG to ensure that a new Get Case List request is initiated only if the user currently does not have an active request. A request is considered active if its status is not Filed or Rejected.

18560 : Date Time value conversion error when reconciling Case data

The EFSP was updated to fix the error caused during the conversion of the DateTime value when reconciling the case data from the CRP.

18461 : UI Updates to Payment Accounts on Settings page

UI updates have been made to the Payment Accounts section on the Setting page. The Add Account and View Payment Information buttons have been moved to the top right corner to avoid the users having to scroll through all the existing payment accounts to access the buttons.

Validations have been fixed to ensure that the selection of a State and Court are required to create a new Payment Account. The states and courts listed in the dropdown are now displayed alphabetically.

18334 : Where's my filer dialog update

The where's my filer dialog text was updated to the text below for sites utilizing the advanced connections feature that allows users to define the individual permissions granted to their connections.

A connection must explicitly give other connections permission to file on their behalf. Only connections who have given the filer this permission will be listed in the Filer field.

(Permission is granted or denied during the connection request and connection acceptance processes.)

A correction was made to the View Connection Requests button that is displayed on the email received by a user when someone requests to connect to them. Clicking on this button will now direct the user to the Settings page with the Connections section expanded.

17458 : Rejected Service Notification displaying incorrect Case Title

In courts that have multiple cases with the same case number but different case tracking id's, the service rejection email was sometimes displaying the wrong case title. This issue has been corrected.

New Features

18082 : Set specific permissions for connections

A new feature was introduced that will allow users to specify the specific permissions they would like grant their permissions. Prior to this feature, connections were granted the permissions to file on a connections behalf, use a connections shared payment account as well as view the connections history by default.

When adding a new connection, users will now be able to select the specific permissions that they want to grant to the connection before sending the connection request.

When accepting a connection request, users can now specify the specific permissions they would like to grant to the user they are accepting to connect with.

On the connections page, a summary is available to the user which displays a list of their connections and what permissions each connection has granted to them.

17910 : Update to confirm password validation at sign up

Reference: SCR 1410

An update was made to enable tracking in the confirm password field. With this update, if the user tabs out of the field, validation is performed to check if both the passwords match. Once the passwords match and validation passes, the red box outlining the fields is removed.

18282 : Advanced case search query update

The advance case search query, that allows for searching by a case participants last and first name, was updated to constrain the query to 'begins with' search requirements. Any text entered into the last name field (required) or first name field (optional), will return search results that contain case participants whose names begin with the text entered. Prior to this update, the query was using a 'contains' wildcard search.
Note: This enhancement was also hotfixed into versions 3.1.68, 3.1.69, 3.1.70, 3.1.71, 3.1.72 and 3.1.73 of TrueFiling.

18284 : Prevent duplicate connection request records

A correction was made to ensure that before accepting a connection request, a check is performed to ensure that the user is not already connected to the requested connection (verified by the email address). Prior to this correction, a use case existed that could cause a connection to display two times in a users connections list.

17908 : Court Policy to restrict filers with the 'Other' role

A new court policy is available that will allow a court to prevent users with the role of 'other' from showing in the list of available filers on the bundle page. By default, this court policy is set to true so filers with the 'other' role are permitted to file.

Note: Any changes to this court policy must be made by an ImageSoft Administrator. Please contact your account or project manager if you are interested in leveraging this court policy.

18132 : Database updates to enhance advanced case search query

The database schema was updated to use the RowNum field for cluster keys and joins.

14933 : Support for page size restrictions

An enhancement was made that allows a court to restrict the size of the pages of a document that can be uploaded in TrueFiling. If a restriction(s) is enabled for a court, and that size is exceeded, the filer will receive a message similar to the example below containing the courts specific restriction(s).

In this scenario, a check out error was presented indicating that the "Bundle document types failed validation. You uploaded a Service Only filing but have chosen to File this bundle. Please either choose a different filing type or update the bundle properties to Serve and Not File." When returned to the filing page, the "File Document" and "Serve Document" options were disabled (grayed out) resulting in the user to have to create a new bundle.

11400 : ADA Compliance Phase 1 updates to Settings page

Changes were made to the settings page for ADA compliance: Add lang="en" to the HTML tag, add native HTML 5 elements and/or ARIA Landmark Roles ( <header>, <nav>,

<main>, and <footer> ), make sure all links and controls are reachable via keyboard, update page titles to use H1 for proper, semantic page structure, update color contrast for the background in the banner, and all reachable content is visually highlighted.

14151 : Ability to select a filing type for connected documents

An enhancement was made to allow filing types to be associated to connected documents. Previously, the filing type for connected documents showed as 'Connected Filing'.
Note: Courts should contact their ImageSoft Account Executive if they are interested in leveraging this feature.

13886 : Issue with EULA Acceptance

An issue was corrected which presented when a user hadn't accepted the EULA and their TrueFiling password expired which resulting in the user entering into an infinite loop of accepting the EULA. This issue arose because the user is logged out when their password expires and the controller action that's called when accepting the EULA is decorated with the [Authorize] attribute.

14097 : Informational text added to the Settings Page when filing on behalf of an attorney (SCR 1272)

Tool tip text was added to the registration page where a filer can specify that they are filing on behalf of an attorney. When a filer clicks on the blue informational icon alongside this option, a dialog will be displayed with text that states "This attorney must be a connection. If they're not, you must send them a connection request, and they must accept it before you can file on their behalf."

In the event that the Rejected reason is more than 200 characters, an ellipsis (�) will be shown at the end and displayed with a tooltip message stating �Please click on the Status Updates tab to view the complete Rejected Reason.� This tooltip message will also be shown when the filer hovers on any section of the rejected reason

A new court property was introduced that allows for the enforcement of case number formatting for searches. The case search functionality in TrueFiling includes a criteria to match the case number format. However, a court may want to change their case numbering format. To enable successful case search in such courts, the new court property implement_case_number_formatting can be used to indicate the case search format can deviate from the required criteria.

13936 : Ability to remove an Add Party or Add Counsel Form from Bundle Assembly page

An enhancement was made that allows users to remove Add Party or Add Counsel forms from the Bundle Assembly page after they are added via this page or from the case details page.

A new court policy was introduced to allow courts to configure the behavior of the case details page. This new court policy will control the sections that are shown on the page (e.g. Header, Case Parties, Case Contacts, etc.). The use of this new court policy was implemented in TrueFiling for all courts.

A correction was made to ensure that when no filing types are available for the case type of the selected case on the case details page, the page loads with a message to the filer indicating that there are no filing types available for the case type of the selected case.

13846 : Court drop-down is not pre-populated with the last selected court name after submission

A correction was made to ensure that the last selected court name is populated in the case search page after a bundle is submitted.
